Performance and Power
Standard on the Subaru Legacy is the Subaru Boxer engine. You have 182 horsepower at your fingertips along with features like the auto start-stop help aid in the fuel economy by turning off the engine when you're at a stop sign or stuck in traffic.
For situations where you need more power, the 260 horsepower turbocharged Subaru Boxer can generate up to 277 lb-ft of torque.
Another standard on each Subaru Legacy is its symmetrical all-wheel drive. It's designed to evenly distribute the weight of the sedan to allow for better traction in a wide range of weather and road conditions. It can redirect power to individual wheels to make you have optimal control.
Impressive Safety Features
The safety features on the Legacy continue to build with the latest technologies. One of the new systems you'll find is the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. It works by alerting you when you become distracted or drowsy and can store up to five different driver profiles.
The Legacy uses sensors and cameras to help you stay aware of your surroundings. Features like the Blind Spot Detection will notify you when cars enter your blind spots using an indicator on each mirror. Other features like the rear cross-traffic alert can help with backing up. It can warn you of traffic while backing up so that you can avoid objects behind you.
Each Subaru Legacy comes with LED headlights to make sure you can see easily at night. High beam assist is another standard feature and will automatically switch to low settings when it detects oncoming vehicles. You even have the option of adding steering responsive headlights that turn with your steering wheel for added visibility.
Technological Entertainment
At the center of the technology on the Legacy, you'll find the available 11.6 inch Starlink Multimedia screen. This interactive touchscreen can be customized with different apps and controls with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For longer trips, you can connect up to eight devices to the Legacy's built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot. You can get up to 4G LTE connection so that passengers can stream movies, play games, and stay connected on the go.
When you need more entertainment options for your backseat passengers, the Starlink Entertainment Anywhere package can extend connectivity to the backseat with two 32GB iPads and two Harman Kardon Bluetooth headphones for your road trips.
You have six different Legacy models to choose from including the base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Limited XT and Touring XT. The Legacy Premium adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-zone automatic climate control, and an all-weather package.
The Sport, on the other hand, features a sporty spoiler and 18-inch black-finish alloy wheels. When you step inside the Legacy Sport, you'll find the two-tone upholstery with red contrast stitching adds to the sporty appeal. For the performance side, the Subaru Intelligent Drive system can help you adapt the Legacy to different road conditions and driving styles with ease.
